2. Settings

2.1. Magic Launcher setup

First of all, you should login to servers using Magic Launcher, or, instead, just write your Username in standard minecraft launcher (and exit).

Mods Advanced Core Mods

Memory: 1024Mb is enough for Normal - Far distance

Java options:

2.2. Optifine in-game video options

Important: For nVidia cards, go to NVIDIA Control Panel and set Threaded Optimization to Off.

2.3. Mods configs

  • Advanced Solar Panel - turn on Hard mode recipes.
  • NEI - disable all “cheats”.
  • Optifine - disable update notifications.
  • Minecraft Forge - disable update notifications.
  • Resolve conflict of BC-IC2 Crossover Mod and Nuclear Control Mod: In file /cfg/IC2NuclearControl.cfg change

    Balancing of petrochemical generator to fit with other IC2’s energy sources (fuel based on coal, bio fuel, which require a lot more efforts to acquire).

    568k eU on fuel via combustion engine -> 142k (1/4 of orig)

    Balancing of electrical engines to be competitive with one provided by Forestry.
